Questions and answers

How are these rankings made?

Every ranking is built automatically from the specifications in the 1CARS catalog. Each model appears once, with the best figure among its versions, and the lists update when we add or correct data.

Why are some classes missing?

A ranking is published only when at least 6 models in the class have a confirmed figure. We do not fill gaps with estimates.

Are concept cars and trucks included?

No. Concept cars, prototypes, one-offs and racing cars are not ranked, and limited-run models are marked. Pickups, vans, trucks and buses have rankings of their own and do not appear in the car lists.

Which units do you use?

Metric first, with imperial units next to it: kW, PS and hp for power, Nm and lb-ft for torque, km/h and mph for speed, millimetres and inches for size, kilograms and pounds for weight, l/100 km and mpg (US) for fuel use, litres and cubic feet for boot space.
