About Hyundai

Hyundai Motor Company was founded in 1967 by Chung Ju-yung as part of the Hyundai group. Its first car was the Ford Cortina, assembled under licence from 1968, and in 1975 it launched the Pony, South Korea's first mass-produced car of its own design. Its main plant is in Ulsan.

Hyundai took control of Kia in 1998 and created the Genesis luxury brand in 2015. It is known for the Accent, Elantra, Sonata, i30, Tucson and Santa Fe, the Ioniq electric family and the N performance models.
