About Peugeot
Peugeot is one of the oldest car brands in the world. The Peugeot family business in eastern France dates back to 1810 and made steel products, tools, coffee mills and bicycles; Armand Peugeot built the first Peugeot car, a steam vehicle, in 1889, and petrol cars soon followed.
Famous models include the 201, 203, 404, 504, the 205 – also a world rally champion – 206, 306, 405, 406, 208, 3008 and 508; Peugeot also won Le Mans in 1992, 1993 and 2009. Peugeot took over Citroën in 1976, forming PSA, and has been part of Stellantis since 2021.
