Questions and answers

Which hatchback has the biggest boot in the 1CARS catalog?

The Skoda Octavia (Octavia Mk4 · 2019–present), with 600 l (21.2 cu ft). Second is the Mercedes-Benz B-Class with 544 l.

How is this ranking compiled?

Each model appears once, with the largest luggage volume quoted for any of its versions. Figures above 750 litres usually describe the load space with the rear seats folded, so they are left out to keep the ranking comparable.

Why is a model missing from the list?

A model is listed only when the 1CARS catalog has a confirmed figure for it. Models without an official figure stay out instead of getting an estimate, and the list grows as we add data. Concept cars, prototypes, one-offs and racing cars are not ranked; limited-run models are marked.
