Questions and answers

Which convertible or roadster has the most torque in the 1CARS catalog?

The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class (SL-Class R231 · 2012–2020), with 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft). Second is the Ferrari Portofino with 760 Nm.

How is this ranking compiled?

Each model appears once, with the highest peak torque quoted for any of its versions, in newton-metres (Nm) with pound-feet (lb-ft) next to it. Trucks, buses and other commercial vehicles have a list of their own.

Why is a model missing from the list?

A model is listed only when the 1CARS catalog has a confirmed figure for it. Models without an official figure stay out instead of getting an estimate, and the list grows as we add data. Concept cars, prototypes, one-offs and racing cars are not ranked; limited-run models are marked.
