- For a large family: the second-generation seven-seater with the Hybrid 136.
- For electric commuting: the ë-C3 Aircross with the 54 kWh battery and about 400 km of range.

The 2021 facelift
The updated car was revealed in February 2021 and built from June 2021. The engine range was simplified to four versions:
| Engine (from 2021) | Power | Torque | 0–100 km/h | Gearbox |

| 1.5 BlueHDi 120 | 89 kW (122 PS) | 300 Nm | 10.1 s | 6-speed automatic |
The PureTech 130 now came only with the automatic, and the manual BlueHDi was rated at 82 kW instead of 76 kW.

Second generation (since 2024): longer and up to seven seats
The new European C3 Aircross was unveiled on 18 April 2024, with full details following on 19 June. It moved to the Smart Car Platform, which also carries the Opel Frontera and is derived from the e-CMP. At 4.39 metres it is 240 mm longer than its predecessor. For the first time a seven-seat version is offered, with petrol or hybrid power only.
| Version | Power | Gearbox | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.2 Turbo 100 | 74 kW (100 PS) | 6-speed manual | entry petrol |
| Hybrid 136 | 100 kW (136 PS) | 6-speed dual-clutch | 48-volt mild hybrid |
| ë-C3 Aircross Standard Range | 83 kW (113 PS) | single-speed | 44 kWh LFP, over 300 km |
| ë-C3 Aircross Extended Range | 83 kW (113 PS) | single-speed | 54 kWh, about 400 km |
Wikipedia gives a petrol range of 74 to 107 kW (101–145 PS), so a stronger hybrid version than the launch Hybrid 136 is listed there. The five-seater has 460 litres of boot space, or 1,600 litres with the rear seats folded. With all seven seats in use only 40 litres remain, and 330 litres with the third row folded. The combustion versions may tow 1,250 kg.

ë-C3 Aircross: the electric version
The electric car is built in Trnava, Slovakia, and has five seats only. Its 44 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery feeds an 83 kW motor and gives a range of over 300 km. Fleet News quoted 188 miles, about 300 km, for the Standard Range and 249 miles, about 400 km, for the Extended Range with 54 kWh. DC charging at up to 100 kW takes the smaller battery from 20 to 80 per cent in 26 minutes. The electric car may tow 350 kg.
| Market (2024) | Version | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Germany | ë-C3 Aircross You | €26,490 |
| France | Hybrid | from €25,500 |
| France | ë-C3 Aircross | from €27,400 |
| United Kingdom | 1.2 Turbo 100 to electric Extended Range | £20,240–£26,995 in 2024 (about €23,800–31,800) |
The base You trim uses a smartphone holder instead of Citroën's own infotainment. The Max trim adds a 10.25-inch screen that connects to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without a cable. Wikipedia notes that the combustion version was priced below €20,000 at its 2024 launch.

The C3 Aircross for India and Latin America
A different C3 Aircross was revealed for India and Brazil on 27 April 2023. It has its own front design, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine in Brazil and five or seven seats. India builds it in Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. In 2024 Latin NCAP gave the most basic Latin American version zero stars. Bharat NCAP rated the Indian five-seater with one star in 2025, under a protocol based on Latin NCAP 2016. These results do not apply to the European car.
