It is Alfa Romeo's entry model and the first Alfa offered as a full electric car, alongside a 48-volt mild hybrid. It was revealed on 10 April 2024 as the Milano and renamed Junior five days later after a complaint from the Italian government.

From Milano to Junior
Alfa Romeo presented the car in Milan on 10 April 2024 under the name Milano. The Italian government objected that a car called Milano but built in Poland would break the rules against selling "Italian-sounding" products made abroad. Alfa Romeo did not fight it: on 15 April 2024 the car became the Junior, a name the brand had used for its entry-level Giulia coupes of the 1960s and for Zagato-bodied Giulia derivatives.
Design cues come from the 1960s Giulia TZ, combined with the triangular scudetto grille, "3+3" matrix LED headlights and hidden rear door handles. The Junior is also the first Alfa Romeo with a central rear number plate instead of the brand's traditional offset plate, a change Wikipedia attributes to pedestrian-protection rules.

| Junior Veloce | STLA Small | 2024- | 5-door crossover | Electric motor, 54 kWh battery | 207 kW (281 hp) |
There is only one generation. The hybrid launched with the 1.2 turbo's 100 kW (136 PS) quoted as the headline figure; current Italian price lists and Stellantis' German press material give 107 kW (145 PS) as the system output. The Ibrida Q4 went on order in Germany on 23 January 2025, with deliveries expected from April 2025. It adds a second 21 kW electric motor on the rear axle, which works independently of the front drive unit, plus a multi-link rear suspension.

Ibrida. The 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder (100 kW, 136 PS) works with a 21 kW electric motor built into the six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It is a mild hybrid: the battery is charged on the move and the car cannot be plugged in.
Elettrica. A permanent-magnet synchronous motor drives the front wheels. With the 54 kWh battery, Wikipedia gives 410 km; the Italian price list shows 406 km.
Veloce. The fastest Junior keeps the 54 kWh battery but raises output to 207 kW (281 PS) and 345 Nm. Range drops to 347 km in the Wikipedia figures and 319 km in the Italian list, depending on wheels and test version. Dimensions, space and boot
| Parameter | Metric | Imperial |

| Height | 1,500 mm | 59.1 in |

| Boot, Elettrica (seats up / folded) | 400 / 1,265 l | 14.1 / 44.7 cu ft |
At 4.17 m the Junior is a short car, yet the hybrid's 415-litre boot is a good figure for the size; the electric version loses 15 litres. UK testers at The Car Expert describe rear space as "typical rather than class-leading".
Fuel economy and running costs
For the Ibrida Q4 Stellantis quotes preliminary WLTP consumption of 4.5-5.6 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 103-125 g/km. The front-drive Ibrida is lighter and should sit at the lower end of that range, but we have not found a separate official figure. For the Elettrica and Veloce we do not list charging speeds, because the sources we checked do not state them consistently.
Alfa Romeo gives the electric Junior a battery warranty of 8 years or 100,000 miles in the UK (about 160,000 km), and the car itself 5 years or 75,000 miles.

Standard and optional equipment includes two 10.25-inch screens, "Hey Alfa" voice control, Alfa D.N.A. drive modes, 360-degree parking sensors and a 180-degree rear camera, Level 2 driver assistance and optional Sabelt sports seats.
Safety
The Car Expert reported in February 2026 that Euro NCAP had not yet tested the Junior, so there is no star rating to quote. Level 2 assisted driving is available. Check our safety ratings section for updates on this platform family.
Reliability and sales
The Junior has been on sale only since 2024, and we have not found model-specific reliability data from owner surveys yet. It quickly became Alfa Romeo's volume model: in the first five months of 2025 it accounted for about half of the brand's Italian sales, 62% in Spain and 58% in Germany, according to Club Alfa.
