The e-Hybrid is a mild hybrid with a 21 kW electric motor built into the dual-clutch gearbox. It can drive on electricity alone for short distances, up to about 1 km. The Brazilian Avenger uses a 1.0 three-cylinder turbo from the GSE FireFly family that can run on flex fuel. Our power converter translates between kW, PS and hp.

Avenger Electric: battery and charging
The electric Avenger has a front motor from Emotors with 115 kW (156 PS) and 260 Nm, fed by a 54 kWh battery (51 kWh net) on a 400-volt system. ADAC lists 15.5 kWh/100 km and 400 km of WLTP range; Jeep also quotes 550 km in the WLTP city cycle. It charges at up to 11 kW on AC and 100 kW on DC. With 9.0 seconds to 100 km/h and a top speed of 150 km/h it is quicker off the line than the hybrid versions but slower at motorway speeds. Electric rivals are collected in our electric cars section.

Avenger 4xe and off-road ability
For its size the Avenger has real off-road credentials: 200 mm of ground clearance, an approach angle of 20 degrees and a departure angle of 32 degrees. Selec-Terrain modes (Normal, Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud and Sand) and Hill Descent Control come with every version. The 4xe adds electric drive to the rear axle using two 21 kW motors, giving four-wheel drive without a propshaft. ADAC lists it with 107 kW (145 PS) of system output, a 100 kW (136 PS) petrol engine, 230 Nm, 9.5 seconds to 100 km/h and 5.3 l/100 km.
