Data ranking: Quickest hatchbacks, 0–100 - all 51 models in our catalog with a figure, ranked by the numbers.
How we chose
Selection. The list covers performance versions of compact and small hatchbacks, including the liftback Octavia RS, with a published model page on 1cars. Cars still on sale new in Germany are shown with ADAC data; the Civic Type R and Focus ST are included because ADAC lists the Type R until December 2025 and Ford ended Focus production in November 2025. The Hyundai i30 N, Toyota GR Yaris and Audi S3 were considered, but no checked data or no 1cars model page was available for the current versions.
Data sources. Power, torque, acceleration, top speed, WLTP consumption, kerb weights, boot volumes, insurance classes, ADAC monthly cost estimates, Euro NCAP results and German list prices come from the ADAC Autokatalog pages for the named versions (accessed October 2026). Octavia RS and Focus ST figures come from English-language Wikipedia. The kg-per-kW figure is calculated from the ADAC EU kerb weight and power.
Ranking. The order is editorial. It balances performance, practicality, running costs and price, and it is not a test score. More detail is on the 1cars pages for the Volkswagen Golf and Honda Civic Type R.
