About Moskvich

Moskvich was the car brand of the Moscow small-car plant MZMA, later AZLK. Its first car, the Moskvich-400 of 1946, was based on the pre-war Opel Kadett.

It was followed by the 402 and 407, the 408 and 412 – which took part in long-distance rallies such as the London–Sydney Marathon – and the 2140 and 2141. Car production at AZLK ended in 2001.
