About GMC
GMC is the truck and utility-vehicle brand of General Motors. Its origins go back to the Rapid Motor Vehicle Company and the Reliance Motor Company, bought by GM in 1909 and combined as the GMC Truck brand in the early 1910s.
GMC builds pickups, SUVs and vans that often share their engineering with Chevrolet: the Sierra pickups, the Yukon, Acadia and Terrain SUVs, the Canyon and the Savana van, with Denali as the top trim level. Since 2021 GMC has also built the electric Hummer EV.
