Safety
Euro NCAP has not tested the XCeed on its own. Kia announced in 2019 that the five-star Euro NCAP rating applied to the full Ceed range; the Ceed hatchback scored 88 per cent for adult occupants, 85 per cent for children, 52 per cent for vulnerable road users and 68 per cent for safety assist (Auto Express). Auto Express notes that this rating has since expired under Euro NCAP's stricter newer protocols. See our safety ratings for newer tests.
Reliability and known issues
The sources used for this guide do not document recurring faults with the XCeed, so we list none. In Auto Express's Driver Power brand survey Kia finished 18th of 31 brands, and the XCeed has not appeared in the model survey for some time.
