GranTurismo Folgore Facelift: More Range and a Big UK Price Cut
Maserati has updated the electric GranTurismo Folgore and GranCabrio Folgore, adding more range and cutting UK prices by nearly a quarter, Auto Express reported on 27 October. The GranTurismo Folgore is now almost £50,000 cheaper, a cut of about 59,500 euros in 2026.

Key takeaways
- GranTurismo Folgore now from £129,605 in the UK, about 154,200 euros in 2026, down from around £180,000.
- GranCabrio Folgore now from £138,605, about 165,000 euros at 2026 rates.
- Estimated range up to around 531 km (330 miles), nearly 80 km (50 miles) more than before.
- Styling updates front and rear, a new digital clock and revised controls.
What has changed
The facelift brings updated front and rear styling, a new digital clock face and revised physical controls around the gear selector and on the steering wheel. The bigger change is under the skin. The extra range comes from powertrain revisions, including the ability to disconnect the front motor when cruising. The 92 kWh battery and the maximum DC charging power of 270 kW stay the same.

The tri-motor powertrain runs on an 800-volt system and produces 574 kW (770 bhp) and 1,350 Nm. Maserati quotes 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, which Auto Express says is quicker than any petrol Maserati.
New prices against rivals
All prices are for the UK. The GranTurismo Folgore at £129,605 is now only £1,685 more than the petrol GranTurismo, a gap of about 2,000 euros at 2026 exchange rates. In 2026 UK pricing it is more than £20,000 (about 23,800 euros) cheaper than the GranTurismo Trofeo with its 433 kW (581 bhp) petrol V6.
Its closest rival is the Porsche Taycan Turbo at just under £130,000, about 155,000 euros at 2026 rates. Auto Express notes the Porsche has four doors, more performance and more range, but cannot match the Maserati's two-door coupe body. The GranCabrio Folgore adds a fabric roof for £9,000 (about 10,700 euros in 2026) more than the coupe.
What it means for you
The price cut changes the case for the electric GranTurismo in the UK: it now costs almost the same as the petrol car while offering more power and lower running costs. Maserati has not yet confirmed whether prices elsewhere in Europe will fall by a similar amount, so buyers in the rest of Europe should check local price lists before ordering. Owners of earlier Folgore cars are likely to see lower used values, while used buyers may find bargains. Remember that the range figure is an estimate, and fast motorway driving will reduce it.
