Which Q2 to buy
Our verdict · Felix Hartmann
- Best value used: a facelifted 30 TFSI or 35 TFSI from 2020-2026 with LED lights and standard autonomous braking.
- For high mileage or towing: the 35 TDI, with quattro if you need traction, accepting the smaller 355-litre boot.
- For performance: the SQ2 with 221 kW (300 PS) and quattro.
The Audi Q2 was Audi's smallest SUV, built in Ingolstadt from 2016 to April 2026 on the Volkswagen Group MQB platform. It combined a Golf-sized footprint, a 405-litre boot and optional quattro all-wheel drive with engines from a 1.0 three-cylinder to the 221 kW (300 PS) SQ2. Audi confirmed in 2022 that there would be no second generation, and 887,231 Q2s were sold over its ten years.
