KTM is an Austrian company from Mattighofen. It was founded in 1934 by Hans Trunkenpolz as a metalworking and repair shop, built its first motorcycle in 1953 and became famous for off-road and racing motorcycles.

KTM's only car so far is the KTM X-Bow, shown at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show and built from the same year by KTM Sportcar GmbH in Graz. It is a lightweight open two-seater, designed by Kiska and developed with Audi and the Italian racing car maker Dallara. The early cars used a 2.0-litre Audi turbocharged four-cylinder engine of 177 kW (237 hp), later raised to 224 kW (300 hp). The range grew to include the R, RR and GT road versions, the GT4 racing car, the track-only GTX and the road-legal GT-XR with a 2.5-litre Audi five-cylinder of 368 kW (493 hp).
