ABT Sportsline Audi RS5-R: 529 kW (710 hp) for the New RS 5
German tuner ABT Sportsline has revealed the RS5-R, a limited upgrade package for the new-generation Audi RS 5 Sedan and Avant. It raises combined output to 529 kW (710 hp) and adds carbon-fibre body parts and 22-inch forged wheels, Carscoops reported on 30 October.

Key takeaways
- 529 kW (710 hp) and 905 Nm from the twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 and electric motor.
- Gains of 60 kW (80 hp) and 80 Nm over the standard car.
- Only 130 RS5-R packages will be built.
- Package prices start at 62,000 euros in 2026, on top of the cost of the car.
More power from software
The new RS 5 combines a twin-turbocharged 2.9-litre V6 with an electric motor. ABT has reworked the software to raise combined output by 60 kW (80 hp) and torque by 80 Nm, to 529 kW (710 hp) and 905 Nm. Based on those gains, the standard car offers about 470 kW (630 hp) and 825 Nm. Carscoops expects the RS5-R to outperform the larger RS 6, even though that car has two more cylinders. ABT has not published acceleration or top speed figures. Next year the tuner plans an Akrapovic titanium exhaust package that should lift output to 588 kW (789 hp).
Styling, chassis and cabin
Outside, the RS5-R gets a new front splitter, louvres on the front wheel arches, longer side skirts, new mirror caps, a large roof spoiler and a rear diffuser. The parts come in standard or forged carbon fibre. The 22-inch forged wheels have a gloss black finish and triangular spokes, wrapped in 315/25 tyres. Lowering springs and stiffer anti-roll bars sharpen the chassis. Inside there are newly trimmed seats, a plusher dashboard, red contrast stitching, carbon-fibre shift paddles and a numbered plaque.
Prices
The RS5-R package starts at 62,000 euros in 2026, about £52,100, and forged carbon instead of standard carbon fibre adds 3,000 euros in 2026. ABT charges a fitting fee of 7,160 euros for the Sedan and 7,600 euros for the Avant in 2026. The base car is extra, from 106,200 euros for the Sedan and 107,850 euros for the Avant in 2026 German pricing.
What it means for you
Together, car, package and fitting come close to 175,000 euros in 2026, so the RS5-R is a collector's item rather than a value choice. With only 130 sets, it should keep its rarity on the used market. If you are considering one, check how the upgrade affects the Audi warranty and your insurance, and buy through an official ABT partner.
