Stellantis Q3 2026: Losses Shrink as Electric Sales in Europe Jump 65%
Stellantis, the group behind Peugeot, Fiat, Citroën, Opel and Jeep, reported its third-quarter 2026 results on 28 October. Revenue rose slightly and the loss shrank, but the clearest change for buyers in Europe is the jump in electric car sales, led by small, cheaper models.

Key takeaways
- Net revenues in Q3 2026: €37.6 billion, up 1% on a year earlier.
- Net loss: €0.5 billion, about 90% smaller than in Q3 2025, which was hit by large one-off charges.
- Battery-electric passenger car sales in the EU30 region (the EU plus the UK, Norway and Switzerland): up 65%, or 93% including Leapmotor.
- Shipments in Europe: up 10%.
The numbers
| Stellantis | Q3 2026 |
|---|---|
| Net revenues | €37.6 bn (+1%) |
| Net result | €-0.5 bn |
| Adjusted operating income | €256 m (0.7% margin) |
| Industrial free cash flow | €-4.0 bn |
| EU30 electric car sales | +65% (+93% with Leapmotor) |
Europe is still the weak spot in the accounts: in Q3 2026 the adjusted result there fell by €468 million to a loss of €311 million, which Stellantis puts down mainly to lower prices and a less profitable model mix. North America improved from a €475 million loss in Q3 2025 to a €64 million profit, even though shipments there fell 12% during a planned production pause for the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Compass. Ram 1500 sales in the United States rose 73%. Stellantis expects net tariff costs of about €1.0 billion for 2026.
Small cars carry Europe
The models behind the 10% rise in European shipments are the affordable ones: the Fiat Grande Panda, Fiat 500 Hybrid, Fiat Pandina, Citroën C3 and C3 Aircross, plus the Leapmotor B10 and C10. Leapmotor sales grew almost four-fold. Leapmotor is the Chinese brand in which Stellantis holds a stake and whose cars it sells in Europe; production of the B10 has started at the Stellantis plant in Zaragoza, Spain, and the C10 and B10 are now also assembled in Malaysia. Electric van sales in the EU30 grew 46%.
What comes next
Chief executive Antonio Filosa said the group reaffirms its 2026 guidance, which means net revenues up by a mid-single-digit percentage and a low single-digit operating margin, and expects positive industrial free cash flow in 2027. More details of the €60 billion FaSTLAne 2030 plan, including Maserati's future, are due on 10 December in Modena.
For buyers, the results confirm the direction we have seen since the Grande Panda arrived: Stellantis is betting on smaller, cheaper cars built on shared platforms, with petrol hybrid and electric versions side by side. Prices of individual models are not affected by the results.
