Pagani Completes the Huayra 70 Trio With the Manual Anima
Pagani has unveiled the Huayra 70 Anima, the third and final car in its Huayra 70 series, at the Concours at Wynn in Las Vegas. The one-off pairs a twin-turbo 6.0-litre V12 from Mercedes-AMG, rated at 635 kW (851 hp), with a seven-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive, Carscoops reported on 2 November.

Key takeaways
- Third and last Huayra 70, after the Trionfo and the Derecho.
- 635 kW (851 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 1,100 Nm from the AMG-sourced V12.
- Seven-speed Xtrac manual gearbox and an electromechanical limited-slip differential.
- Built for one owner through Pagani's Grandi Complicazioni programme; no price given.
The Huayra 70 series
Pagani created the Huayra 70 cars to mark the 70th birthday of founder Horacio Pagani, and said from the start that it would build three. The first, the Trionfo, used an 834 hp version of the V12, Motor1 reported when it was revealed. The Anima completes the set and, like the others, went to a customer in the United States. Pagani worked with the owner for more than a year on the specification. Designer Lorenzo Kerkoc said the aim was to fulfil the owner's childhood dream of creating "a special car together with Horacio Pagani".
Engine and chassis
The twin-turbocharged V12 produces 635 kW (851 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 1,100 Nm. Drive goes to the rear wheels through a seven-speed manual gearbox made by Xtrac and an electromechanical self-locking differential. Top Gear quotes a top speed of 349 km/h (217 mph); Pagani has not given an acceleration time.
The car sits on the carbon-titanium tub of the Huayra. Suspension uses double wishbones with electronically adjustable, interconnected dampers at all four corners, and carbon-ceramic discs work with Brembo calipers. Wheels are 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres in 265/30 and 355/25 sizes.
Body and cabin
The bodywork is exposed blue carbon fibre with real diamond dust in the finish, plus hand-applied platinum leaf on the front splitter, parts of the doors, the engine cover and the rear wing supports. New bumpers, a different rear diffuser, a unique rear wing and a roof scoop inspired by the Zonda Cinque change the profile, and the six-pipe exhaust has a white ceramic coating. Key chassis parts are painted Tricolore Blue and Argentina Light Blue. Inside, the seats are trimmed in milk-coloured leather with inky blue carbon details, and the steering wheel and gear knob also carry diamond dust.
What it means
The Anima was built for one owner, so its importance lies in what it says about Pagani's direction. Like the Utopia, it shows that the company still pairs its twin-turbo V12 with a manual gearbox for customers who ask for one. Collectors who want something similar will have to commission their own car through the Grandi Complicazioni programme, at a price Pagani does not publish.
