Aston Martin Valhalla Spider: Open-Top Hybrid Supercar with 793 kW
Aston Martin has revealed the Valhalla Spider, an open-top version of its mid-engined plug-in hybrid supercar. The car made its global debut at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, Carscoops reported on 27 October, and Auto Express covered the launch on 28 October.

Key takeaways
- Same twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 and three electric motors as the coupe: 793 kW (1,064 bhp) combined.
- 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds; 350 km/h (217 mph) only with the optional carbon roof.
- Standard fabric roof limits top speed to 200 km/h (124 mph).
- 1,680 kg with lightweight options, 25 kg more than the coupe; deliveries due from Q3 2027.
Roofs and changes from the coupe
The Spider keeps the carbon-fibre monocoque of the Valhalla coupe, so the fixed top could be removed without losing structural rigidity, according to Carscoops. Instead of an electric folding hardtop, the standard car has a removable fabric roof. An optional removable carbon-fibre roof allows the full 350 km/h (217 mph) top speed, and Auto Express says this roof is fitted as standard in the USA.
The dihedral doors are kept but are now frameless. For roof-down driving there is a removable wind deflector that directs air over the cockpit, and the engine air scoop on the roof is 35 mm taller than on the coupe. The active aerodynamics and stability control recognise whether the roof is on or off and adjust their settings. With the roof fitted, the car produces more than 600 kg of downforce.
Inside, every Spider gets a new carbon-fibre Touring seat that makes getting in and out easier with the roof on. The more supportive coupe seat can be fitted at no extra cost.
Powertrain and performance
Nothing changes mechanically. The twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 works with three electric motors and an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, with all-wheel drive. Combined output is 793 kW (1,064 bhp), and Carscoops quotes 1,100 Nm of torque. The 0-100 km/h time of 2.5 seconds matches the coupe.
Price and production
Aston Martin has not announced a price or a production number. The coupe is limited to 999 cars worldwide, and Auto Express expects the Spider to make up around one in four Valhallas, with final numbers to be confirmed. The coupe costs £850,000, about 1.01 million euros at 2026 exchange rates, and Auto Express expects the Spider to cost more. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027.
What it means for you
The Valhalla Spider is a car for existing Aston Martin collectors. Buyers who want the full 350 km/h performance in Europe should budget for the optional carbon roof, as the fabric roof limits the car to 200 km/h.
