Wey is a premium car brand of the Chinese car maker Great Wall Motor (GWM), launched in November 2016. It is named after the surname of GWM's chairman, Wei Jianjun, and concentrates on crossovers and SUVs based on Haval models.
The first models were the VV7 of 2017, the VV5 of 2017 and the VV6 of 2018, all built until 2021, along with the P8 plug-in SUV of 2018–2020. In July 2020 Wey presented the Tank 300 off-roader, which became the first model of the separate Tank brand. From 2021 the range was renamed after coffee drinks: the Wey Mocha replaced the VV7, and the Latte (2021–2025) and Macchiato (2021–2023) followed. In 2023 Wey launched the Gaoshan people carrier and the Lanshan full-size SUV, and the V8X and V9X were added in 2026. At the end of 2022 GWM announced that Wey would come to Germany and France.
