Ora models

Ora is the electric car brand of the Chinese car maker Great Wall Motor (GWM). It was established in 2018 as a brand for battery-electric cars only and started with two models: the iQ crossover, which went on sale in August 2018, and the R1 city car, later renamed Black Cat. Many Ora models carry cat names in China.

The R2, later called White Cat, was previewed in June 2019 and went into production in July 2020. In 2020 GWM also launched the Ora Good Cat, also known as the Funky Cat or Ora 03. The Ballet Cat and the Lightning Cat followed as new models in 2022. In late 2022 Ora entered Europe, Thailand, Malaysia, South Africa and Australia, and in 2023 it arrived in Brazil and Brunei.
