Dacia has announced UK prices for the full-hybrid Sandero and Sandero Stepway, starting at £17,955 in 2026 for the Sandero Hybrid 155 Expression. The 114 kW (155 PS) powertrain costs £2,230 more than the equivalent petrol version in each trim.

Key takeaways
- Four versions, from £17,955 to £20,595 in 2026.
- 1.8-litre petrol engine, two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery.
- 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.3 seconds, against 9.7 seconds for the Sandero TCe 100.
- Official economy of 67 mpg, about 4.2 L/100 km, for the Sandero.
UK prices by version
| Version | UK price in 2026 |
|---|---|
| Sandero Hybrid 155 Expression | £17,955 |
| Sandero Hybrid 155 Journey | £19,295 |
| Sandero Stepway Hybrid 155 Expression | £19,295 |
| Sandero Stepway Hybrid 155 Extreme | £20,595 |
The entry price converts to roughly 21,400 euros in 2026. In France, where orders opened in the summer, the Sandero Hybrid 155 Expression is listed at 19,900 euros in 2026 and the Stepway Expression at 21,400 euros in 2026.
How the hybrid works
The system is the one already used in the Jogger, Duster and Bigster. A 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine works with a traction motor and a starter-generator, and a 1.4 kWh battery lets the car run with the engine off for up to 80% of the time in town, Dacia says. Combined output is 114 kW (155 PS) with 205 Nm.
The gains over the petrol cars are clear on paper. The Sandero Hybrid returns 67 mpg (4.2 L/100 km) against 52.3 mpg (5.4 L/100 km) for the TCe 100. The Stepway Hybrid manages 64 mpg (4.4 L/100 km) against 49.6 mpg (5.7 L/100 km) for the TCe 110, and both hybrids reach 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds.
Equipment and space
Expression trim has a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, air conditioning and YouClip accessory mounts. Journey adds a 7-inch digital driver display, built-in navigation, heated front seats and steering wheel, keyless entry and wireless phone charging. The Stepway Extreme brings copper details, blind spot warning, black alloy wheels and Extended Grip traction control. Boot space stays at 410 litres, 109 litres more than in a Renault Clio E-Tech hybrid.
What it means for buyers
On the official figures the hybrid saves about 1.2 L every 100 km over the Sandero TCe 100, roughly 180 litres a year for a driver covering 15,000 km. Whether that repays the £2,230 premium depends on fuel prices and how long you keep the car. The hybrid also brings much stronger acceleration, which matters for motorway merging with a full load.
