October 2026 Deliveries: XPeng Hits a Record, Nio Passes 1.33 Million
Two of China's best-known electric car makers have published their sales for October 2026. XPeng set a new monthly record with more than 50,000 cars, while Nio delivered over 34,000 across its three brands, according to company statements released on 31 October and 1 November.

Key takeaways
- XPeng: 50,237 deliveries in October, up 20% year on year and 22% on September.
- XPeng overseas deliveries: 13,326, a monthly record and up 166% year on year.
- Nio group: 34,246 deliveries, of which 18,125 were Nio, 8,383 Onvo and 7,738 Firefly.
- Nio's 2026 total so far stands at 334,547, up 38.5%.
XPeng: a record month, driven by exports
XPeng says October was its best month ever. Deliveries rose 22% compared with September and 20% compared with October 2025. The most striking figure is abroad: 13,326 cars left for markets outside China, an all-time monthly high and 166% more than a year earlier. That means roughly one in four XPeng cars delivered in October went overseas.
The company also launched a new model, the XPeng L05, in mainland China in October, with deliveries starting on 1 November. XPeng additionally received a licence in Guangzhou on 26 October for a Level 4 robotaxi demonstration service.
Nio: three brands, one total
Nio Inc. delivered 34,246 vehicles in October. The core Nio brand accounted for 18,125, the family-focused Onvo brand for 8,383 and the small Firefly brand for 7,738. Nio did not give a year-on-year comparison for the month itself, but deliveries from January to October reached 334,547, up 38.5% on the same period of 2025. Since the company started deliveries, it has handed over 1,332,139 cars in total, as of 31 October 2026.
Other Chinese makers, such as Leapmotor, Li Auto and Zeekr, usually publish their monthly figures around the same time; their official October numbers were not available when this report was written.
What it means for you
XPeng's export surge shows how quickly Chinese brands are growing outside their home market, and Europe is one of their main targets. More volume abroad usually means a wider dealer and service network, which matters when choosing a car from a newer brand. If you are looking at an XPeng or a Nio, ask about local servicing, parts supply and, for Nio, access to battery swap stations near you.
