Ram is an American brand of pickup trucks and vans, headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and part of Stellantis North America. It was spun off from Dodge as a separate brand in 2009, when it was a division of Chrysler. The name comes from the Dodge Ram pickup line, which dates back to 1981.
The core of the current range is the Ram 1500 full-size pickup, now in its fifth generation from 2019, with the Ram Heavy Duty trucks and the ProMaster vans sold since 2013. The high-performance Ram 1500 TRX pickup was offered from 2021 to 2024, and a plug-in hybrid Ram 1500 REV is expected in 2026. Earlier models included the Ram 1500 Rebel, an off-road version of the fourth-generation truck. In October 2023 Ram joined Stellantis Pro One, the group's commercial vehicle unit, and a full-size Ramcharger SUV is planned. See also Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler.
