Jaecoo models

Jaecoo is an SUV brand launched by the Chinese car maker Chery in April 2023, with its official debut in Wuhu, Anhui province. The brand name combines the German word Jäger (hunter) with the English word cool. Jaecoo concentrates mainly on export markets and is a sister brand of Omoda, which was presented at the same time.

The first model was the Jaecoo 7, also called J7, a compact SUV introduced in 2023. The larger Jaecoo 8 followed in the same year, the electric J6 in 2024 and the subcompact J5, previewed in 2024 and due in the United Kingdom in 2026. Several Jaecoo models are offered with Chery's SHS plug-in hybrid system alongside petrol engines. In Europe Jaecoo arrived in Italy in July 2024 and in Spain later that year, and in the United Kingdom orders for the Jaecoo 7 opened in January 2025. See also Omoda and Chery.
