Exterior
The appearance and design of the new Chevrolet sports car, the Corvette C1 convertible, was the most innovative. The designer, Harley Earl, known as the founder of the legendary fin theme in the design of the cars, did his best to bring an aerodynamic jet into the car.
The car lost its door handles, the glass was now without a window, the rear wings were gracefully flowing into graceful fins. The car was made with the use of fiberglass, instead of the usual steel, and installed on a lightweight frame of metal.
Interior
When he got to the salon, he was just amazed and won attention and respect. The instrument panel looked very compact and most of the sensors were located directly in front of the driver. Later, the vehicles were equipped with seat belts from the factory. The 3-spokesman’s steering wheel was striking. On request, it could even be equipped with air conditioning, and that was in the 50s.
